- Aprilia Storm 125 to launch in April
- To be more stylish and gets a matte paint
- Bookings to begin from first week of April
Piaggio will finally launch the Aprilia Storm 125 This scooter was earlier planned to be launched in January, but was delayed as majority of the dealers had a good number of SR125 in stock.
According to our sources, the Storm 125 will be launched around the third week of April. However, the bookings will begin from 1 April, and the deliveries will commence on the day of the launch itself.
The SR 125 Storm is based on the SR 125 but it gets a different visual appeal. It gets matte paint schemes, smaller 12-inch wheels and chunkier dual-purpose tyres. The Storm 125 that was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo was equipped with Vee Rubber tyres. But the company has been working on localising some parts for the scooter to make it more affordable. So there’s a high chance that the Storm 125 will be equipped with cheaper tyres once it is launched.
The Aprilia Storm 125 gets its power from same air-cooled single-cylinder engine as seen on the SR 125, which produces 9.5hp at 7,250rpm and 9.8Nm of torque at 6,250rpm. This scooter will be equipped with combi-braking system(CBS) that will make it a bit pricier. The SR 125 retails at Rs 79,000 (ex-showroom Mumbai). So we are expecting the Storm 125 to be priced a bit higher than the SR 125.
