KTM 250 Duke with ABS launched at Rs 1.94 lakhs

- 250 Duke now gets ABS

- Priced at Rs 1.94 lakhs 

- Hike of Rs 14,000 over the non-ABS model

KTM India has finally launched the ABS version of the 250 Duke. This variant has been priced at Rs 1.94 lakhs (ex-showroom Pune), making it Rs 14,000 more expensive than the non-ABS model.

With this, the Austrian brand has equipped all its motorcycles with ABS. The 250 Duke gets dual-channel ABS from the previous-gen 390 Duke, which is switchable. The 125 Duke, on the other hand, gets a single-channel system with RLP (Rear wheel Lift Protection) to keep costs in check.

The 250 Duke is the younger sibling of the 390 Duke. While the design and some features are borrowed from the 390 Duke, the engine is a 250cc single-cylinder liquid cooled one. The motor churns out nearly 30bhp and 24Nm of torque through a six-speed gearbox and gets a slipper clutch as standard. It also gets the 2017 390 Duke's larger fuel tank, at 13.5 litres. Unfortunately, the 250 Duke misses out on the TFT instrument cluster. 

With this new model, the 250 Duke is just Rs 1000 cheaper than the Honda CBR250R. The Yamaha FZ25 is still the most affordable 250cc bike one can buy in India.
