Honda commences deliveries of CB300R in India

- First lot has been delivered in Chandigarh, Jaipur, Delhi and Haryana

- Will be delivered in more cities soon

Honda has commenced deliveries of its newly launched street bike, the CB300R, in India. The first batch of motorcycles has already been delivered to customers in Chandigarh, Jaipur, Delhi and Haryana. Sold via Honda’s Wing World dealerships, the CB300R comes in two colour options – matte axis grey metallic and candy chromosphere red. The motorcycle has been priced at Rs 2.41 lakhs (ex-showroom, pan India).

The Honda CB300R follows the brand’s modern ‘Neo Sports Café’ design philosophy. The bike features a full-LCD instrument cluster and a circular headlamp which houses radical-looking LED lights. It also sports LED turn indicators, wide handlebar, sculpted fuel tank accompanied by brushed aluminium radiator guards and a minimalistic tail section. Moreover, the stubby exhaust adds a fair bit of road presence to the street bike. Honda is also offering 16 optional independent accessories and four types of customising kits including premium, protection, standard and sports.

The Honda CB300R is powered by a 286cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that churns out 30bhp of power and 27.4Nm of torque. This unit is mated to a six-speed constant mesh gearbox. Suspension duties are handled by 41mm upside-down forks on the front and a monoshock at the rear.  Furthermore, for braking, it incorporates a 296mm disc with radial four-pot calliper at the front and a 220mm disc with single-piston calliper at the rear. Dual-channel ABS comes as standard.

In India, the Honda CB300R locks horns with the KTM 390 Duke and the BMW G310R, in its segment.
