- To launch two new models on FTR1200 platform
- Leaked brochure reveals details
- To be a streetfighter and ADV motorcycles
Indian Motorcycles seems to be working on two new models based on the FTR1200, a leaked brochure reveals.
The brochure specifies the FTR1200 as 'Apollo' which is the internal name of the flat-tracker inspired motorcycle. However, it also mentions two other models; Street (most likely a streetfighter) and Adventure which are specified to be 2020 and 2021 models respectively. These motorcycles will be built on the same platform as the FTR1200 and be powered by the same 1203cc, V-twin. This motor generates 118bhp of power and is mated to a six-speed gearbox and slipper clutch. Although we can expect the two motorcycle's to be slightly tuned to suit their individual character.
With the introduction of these two motorcycles, Indian seems to be going the Harley-Davidson way and widening its reach across various segments. We can expect Indian Motorcycles to unveil the streetfighter by the end of this year probably at the 2019 EICMA in Milan.
