- Will be unveiled on 28 May
- Will be a variant of the Apache RR 310 offering more power
- Likely to receive cosmetic updates
TVS Motor Company has put up a teaser video of what seems to be a new variant of its flagship motorcycle, the Apache RR 310. This will be the first official update for the faired bike since it was launched by the company in 2017.
While the teaser video doesn’t give away much information, the silhouette of the motorcycle does confirm it to be an Apache RR 310. In addition to that, the company has mentioned that the new variant will be new and exciting, implying that the teased motorcycle may be a more powerful and cosmetically updated version of the standard Apache RR 310. The Hosur-based bike maker had recently revealed a racier version of the Apache RR 310 in Colombia that was finished in Matte Black livery with sporty decals and stickers. It is possible that the company might be planning to introduce the same in India. Also, given that TVS runs a championship with race-prepped Apache RR 310’s, it is very much possible that some of the learnings at the track may have been introduced in the road-going version.
The current model of the Apache RR 310 is powered by a 312.2cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled mill that is rated to deliver 34bhp and 27N and comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Expect the new variant of the Apache RR 310 is likely to be launched shortly after the official unveiling. On the price front, the standard Apache RR 310 retails at Rs 2.13 Lakhs ex-Mumbai while, the new variant is likely to carry a premium of around Rs 8,000-10,000 over it.
