Hero MotoCorp is slowly but steadily infusing new life into its scooter portfolio. This is needed for them to stay ahead of its competitors. While the Splendor range is helping them achieve this, the tremendous growth in the scooter segment has made them realise the importance of new scooters. And that’s why the Gurgaon-based manufacturer launched the new Maestro Edge - their flagship scooter.
We list four reasons why you should buy the Maestro Edge over the Maestro.
1: Price
Let’s start with the most important aspect first– price. The Maestro Edge is the most expensive scooter in the 110cc segment, but it offers more features than its competitors. Hero has priced the Maestro Edge at Rs 50,700 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the fully-loaded version, whereas the Maestro is priced at Rs 48,050 (ex-showroom Delhi). For Rs 2,620, you get a scooter, which is powered by a new engine and is equipped with a host of features.
2: Styling
The Maestro Edge is easily one of the best looking scooters in the 110cc segment. With sharp styling cues like the aggressive fascia, 3D emblem, LED tail lights and cast foot pegs, the Maestro Edge is a tempting proposition. Also, the Maestro Edge gets some amazing colour options including two matt paint schemes – matt vernier grey and matt blue. The Maestro, on the other hand, has a sober design language. It doesn’t appeal to a lot of young consumers.
3: Features
The Maestro Edge is equipped with features like USB charging, boot lamp, side stand indicator. External fuel filling is standard on this scooter. This new scooter gets tubeless tyres too. The Maestro lacks all these features, so it makes a lot of sense to go for the Maestro Edge by paying Rs 2,620 more.
4: Quality
Hero MotoCorp has done a great job with the quality on the Maestro Edge. They have made sure to make the Maestro Edge as premium as possible. The plastics used on the instrument cluster is of a good quality, especially, the one around the switch gears. The paint quality feels decent too. The Maestro lacks this due to which it doesn’t look tempting in front of the Maestro Edge.
