These are the official pictures of the 2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, and we would like to thanks one of our sources for emailing it to us. This quarter-litre Suzuki will be launched tomorrow, along with its smaller sibling.
From these leaked photos, it’s clear that Suzuki has managed to design a great looking motorcycle. The styling is sharp and has been inspired from its flagship sportsbike. The overall proportions are quite good. The split seats, double-barrel exhaust and the clip-on handlebar does make the bike look sporty and track-ready.
This Gixxer SF 250 is powered by a 249cc 4-stroke SOHC 4-valve single-cylinder oil-cooled mill. The engine has been rated to produce a maximum power output of 26.1bhp at 9000 rpm and a peak torque figure of 22.6Nm at 7500pm. Equipped with fuel-injection, the engine comes mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox.
Furthermore, the Gixxer SF 250 will be suspended by telescopic forks up front and a swingarm type monoshock at the rear. The motorcycle will ride on 17-inch dual 5-spoke alloy wheel shod with a 110/70 section tyre for the front and a 150/60 section tyre for the rear.
For braking, the motorcycle will employ disc brakes at both ends and will be equipped with dual-channel ABS.
In terms of dimensions and weight, the motorcycle will feature a wheelbase of 1345mm which is 15mm more than the Gixxer SF. Ground clearance stands at 165mm while seat height has been comfortably set at 800mm. Feature a 12-litre fuel tank, the Gixxer SF 250 will tip the scales at 161 kg.
Once launched, this Suzuki will compete with the Yamaha Fazer 25 and the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200.
