- 2019 Gixxer SF 155 priced at Rs 1.09 lakhs
- Rs 8000 pricier than the older model
- Available in two colours
Suzuki has launched the next generation Gixxer SF 155. This bike has been priced at Rs 1.09 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi), making it Rs 8000 expensive than the outgoing model.
The new Gixxer SF gets an all new design, and now resembles its elder sibling – the Gixxer SF 250. The design is quite attractive, and with the LED headlamp and taillamp setup- the Gixxer SF 250 will definitely turn heads. While this Suzuki is an everyday bike, Suzuki has managed to make it a bit sporty, thanks to the inclusion of split seats, clip-on handlebar and twin muffler.
The 2019 Gixxer SF gets its power from the same 155cc single-cylinder fuel-injected motor. But the power figures have dropped to 13.9bhp from 14.6bhp. The torque figure stays at 14Nm at 6000rpm. This engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox that transfers the power to the rear wheel via a chain drive. The 2019 variant tips the scale at 146kg - 6kg more than the older model. The increase in weight and decrease in power will affect the power to weight ratio of the bike, which is likely to make the bike less exciting.
The braking duties are taken care of by disc brakes at both end. Unlike the Gixxer SF 250, this bike gets a single-channel ABS system to keep costs in check. The new Gixxer SF rides on telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. . With a fuel tank capacity of 12-litres, expect the bike can do around 360kms in on tank full.
The 2019 Gixxer SF 155 is available in two colours – glass sparkle black and metallic sonic silver. The bookings for this bike have begun across all showrooms today, and the deliveries will commence in the next few weeks.
