-MT-15 offered in three new colours by dealer
-Continues to be priced at Rs 1.36 lakhs
-No other cosmetic or mechanical changes
The Yamaha MT-15 was spotted with three new colour options at a dealership. These include a white, red and blue paint options that adorn the MT-15s tank, radiator shrouds and tail section. The rest of the bike is blacked-out. However, the MT-15 is officially available in full-black and matte blue with yellow highlights. There is no change in pricing and the bike continues to retail at Rs 1.36 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Apart from the new paint schemes, Yamaha’s street fighter remains unchanged. It rides on telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Meanwhile, braking is looked after by disc brakes at both ends with a single-channel ABS. Powering the Yamaha MT-15 is a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) technology. The unit produces 19bhp of power and 14.7Nm of torque and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The Yamaha MT-15 has tasted success ever since its launch in March and the new colour schemes will further boost its appeal. Despite its higher pricing, it has managed to outrun its sibling, the FZ25 and its biggest rival, the KTM 125 Duke for two consecutive months.
