Revolt RV400 electric motorcycle- Top 5 Highlights

Revolt Intellicorp took the wraps off the RV400, India’s first AI-enabled electric motorcycle. The Gurgaon-based start-up has some big names like Amazon and Google backing the project. We bring to you five highlights about the Revolt RV400.

Styling

The Revolt RV400 follows the design of a street naked motorcycle. So it gets a muscular tank, beefy tank extensions and a low-slung LED headlamp. The fairing covers components like the motor and battery. Its rear end is a bolt-on subframe which holds a one-piece seat on a svelte rear section and a split-LED tail lamp setup. The design looks on par with times and not overly futuristic like many electric two-wheelers.

Features

Electric two-wheelers and loads of features have always been synonymous and the Revolt RV400 is no different either. To begin with, it gets a full-digital instrument cluster. It also gets a ‘Start Electric’ functionality that enables the rider to start the motorcycle via a dedicated app. Moreover, the RV400 uses a push ignition button in place of a conventional key fob.

The RV400 also comes with a geo-fencing feature that alerts the user if the bike leaves a pre-set geographic perimeter. The app also sends alerts if the charge is low tells the user about the nearest battery swapping stations. Furthermore, the company is offering a ‘Delivery on Demand’ feature which enables the user to have a charged battery delivered to the specified location. It also comes with a portable charger, battery swapping stations and an onboard charger.

Powertrain

While the company hasn’t revealed the details of the powertrain, it has said that the RV400 will have a range of 156kms on a single full-charge along with a top speed of 85kmph. The motor will come with three riding modes- Eco, City and Sport. It will also get an interesting feature wherein the rider can change the simulated exhaust note of the RV400

Cycle parts

The Revolt RV400 rides on MRF tyres on both ends that are suspended from upside-down forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Meanwhile, braking is taken care of by disc brakes for the front as well as the rear.

Pricing

Revolt Intellicorp has not revealed the pricing of the RV400 yet and will do so next month. However, bookings for the electric motorcycle will begin on 25 June through the company’s website as well as their official online partner Amazon India.  It will be available in two colour options- Rebel Red and Cosmic Black.
