-KTM RC 125 priced at Rs 1.47 lakhs
-Costs Rs 17,000 over the 125 Duke
-Bookings have officially commenced
KTM has launched the RC 125 in India at an introductory price of Rs 1.47 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The fully-faired motorcycle is based on the 125 Duke and costs Rs 17,000 over the latter.
The KTM RC 125 follows the same design language as the rest of the RC range. So it gets an aggressively designed full-fairing that incorporates twin projector headlamps along with LED DRLs. Complementing its sportbike character is the sharp tail section that has a split-seat setup and LED tail lamp. Powering the motorcycle is a 124cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine similar to the 125 Duke. This motor sits under a tubular trellis frame and churns out 14.3bhp at 9,250rpm and 12Nm of torque at 8,000rpm. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The RC 125 rides on 17-inch wheels wrapped in a 110/70 front tyre along with a 150/60 section rear tyre. Suspension duties are handled by inverted forks at the front sourced from WP and a monoshock for the rear. Meanwhile, braking on the RC 125 is taken care of by a 300mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc along with a single-channel ABS.
Bookings for the RC 125 have commenced in KTM dealerships across India. The motorcycle is being offered in two dual-tone colour schemes. As for competition, the KTM RC 125 goes head-on against the Yamaha R15 V3 in the country.
