- BMW Motorrad reveals 2020 models
- The motorcycles get cosmetic or mechanical updates
- Updated models likely to be launched in India soon
BMW Motorrad has unveiled its updated 2020 motorcycle line-up for international markets. The list includes motorcycles which either get cosmetic or mechanical updates or both. The manufacturer’s most affordable models, the G310R and G310GS get new colour schemes for next model year. The G310R is available in a black paint scheme with maroon graphics which BMW is calling the Cosmic Black 2 and replaces the black and white ‘Cosmic Black’ colour option.
The adventure motorcycle gets a ‘Strato Blue’ paint with the GS logo in yellow. This paint for the G310 GS replaces the ‘Racing Red’ paint scheme internationally.
The manufacturer recently launched the new S1000RR in India which we also rode at the racetrack. Nevertheless, BMW Motorrad has revealed a new colour scheme for its flagship supersport motorcycle. Apart from the existing BMW Motorsport and Racing Red scheme, the S1000RR gets a new silver metallic ‘Hockenheim’ colour. BMW is also offering a carbon package which includes carbon fibre components like the front and rear fender, side panels along with chain guard and sprocket cover,
The streetfighter S1000R also gets a new ‘San Marino Blue’ paint which is introduced in place of the Racing Red and black combination. The K1600 B also gets the same Hockenheim silver as the 2020 S1000RR. Meanwhile, the more-touring focused K1600 GTL sports three new colour schemes and a dark brown seat.
BMW is also offering the R1250 GS and R1250 GS Adventure with optional cross-spoked wheels finished in either gold or black. And as for the R Nine T range which consists of five model internationally (three for India; standard, Racer and Scrambler) get the ASC (Automatic Stability Control) as standard for 2020.
While there is no official confirmation on the launch timeline for the 2020 line-up in India, we expect BMW to introduce them in the country by the end of this year on select models.
