Suzuki has launched the new, 2019 Gixxer in India with a sticker price of Rs 1 lakh. The manufacturer is offering the bike in three, dual-tone colour schemes.
One is an all-black colour with matte black cladding on the centre of the fuel tank. The second colour option is a combination of black with blue. In this colour option, while the major colour is black, the bike sports blue on the grab rail, on the centre of the tank along with side cladding and tank shrouds. And finally, Suzuki is offering the bike in silver with a black colour scheme wherein the silver takes up most of the bodywork while black features on the tail section and across the tank.
The new Gixxer is priced at a premium of around Rs 11,000 over the previous model. For the extra bucks, you get full LED-lighting for the headlamp and tail lamp, a revised digital instrument and a completely refreshed design. Underneath the new skin is the same 155cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected motor that produces 13.9bhp of power and 14Nm of torque.
Bookings for the new Suzuki Gixxer have begun at all dealerships across India meanwhile deliveries are expected to commence in the coming few weeks. In terms of competition, the Suzuki Gixxer goes up against the likes of the Honda CB Hornet 160R and TVS Apache RTR 160 4V in the country.
