- 2020 Multistrada V4 spotted on test
- Likely to replace the current V-Twin setup
- Could be unveiled at 2019 EICMA
Just a few days ago, there were rumours about a V4 Multistrada. Today, those rumours turned out to be true as one camouflaged Multistrada prototype was seen on test in Italy with the new V4 engine.
From the video and a photo, it’s clear that the upcoming Multistrada will retain the same styling as the current model. However, expect some minor alteration to be done to make the bike look a bit different from the V-Twin model. The only major change that can be seen on this prototype is the presence of a different exhaust, and this has to be done to accommodate the two additional cylinders.
The Italian maker is likely to launch the Multistrada V4 as a model year update and not as an all-new motorcycle. That means the same branding, and the same marketing tag lines. In fact, Ducati used the same approach when it unveiled the Panigale V4.
We are expecting this new Multistrada V4 to be revealed at the 2019 EICMA Show in Italy. But expect not to have a lot of hoopla around this bike, as we believe the Streetfighter V4 will have the most focus and attention from Ducati and also by the audience.
