- Ducati Streetfighter V4 possibly teased, will be one of the new product unveilings
- New product range will be showcased during the Ducati World Premiere 2020
- 2020 product range will be later displayed at EICMA 2019
Ducati has put out a new teaser and we are excited. For starters, the Italian bike maker has announced the unveiling of its 2020 model year product range on 23 October at the Ducati World Premiere, slated to be held in Rimini, Italy. Besides the announcement, the manufacturer has also put out a teaser, sharing an image of a bike covered by a cloth.
Our first guess is, undoubtedly, the Streetfighter V4, which has already made its debut as a prototype at the recent Pikes Peak Hill Climb event. The supernaked is based on the flagship Panigale V4 featuring the 1103cc, Desmosedic Stradale V4 motor. When comparing the Streetfighter V4’s prototype image and the teaser image, one will notice that both motorcycles have the same alloy wheel design. Also, the way the contour steeply rises above the front wheel suggests the presence of the petite front fairing reminiscent of the Streetfighter V4. Lastly, when the company released the official images of the prototype, Ducati’s CEO, Claudio Domenicali, had mentioned that the Streetfighter V4 will be one of the stars of the Ducati World Premiere 2020.
However, if we had to think of other possibilities, the next motorcycle that comes to our mind is the already known Monster 1200. While the alloy wheel design might not match the ones on the Monster 1200, the belly pan perfectly matches with that of the teaser image. Furthermore, the shape and positioning of the exhaust canisters also match the ones on the Monster 1200. Based on these pointers, we'd say that it could be possible that Ducati might introduce a sportier version of the Monster 1200. And if we were to make a wild guess, it might just possibly be a Monster V4 that Ducati might be secretly working on for a while now. Who knows!
Well, considering Claudio’s statement, one thing stands out with certainty. That the Streetfighter V4 is intended for its official unveil at the Ducati World Premiere 2020. Besides that, we look forward to the showcase of the recently spied Multistrada V4 and other motorcycles that Ducati has in store for us under the 2020 product range. The 2020 model year product range will also be displayed at the upcoming EICMA 2019, scheduled to be held in November in Milan, Italy.
