- Tiger 900 in the making
- Will get bigger engine, more features
- Likely to debut at 2019 EICMA
There’s a bigger and a better Triumph Tiger in a making. The next-generation Tiger has been spotted on test making us believe that we will see the new Tiger very soon.
The prototype that was spotted looked almost production ready. It’s clear from these pictures that the upcoming Tiger will get a new chassis, new swingarm, better suspension and new brakes. In fact, the bodywork has been revised too. The prototype looked a bit leaner and sharper. The LED setup is new, and makes the bike look a bit aggressive.
Mechanically, expect the new Tiger to get a bigger engine. Rumours suggest that the 2020 Tiger will be called the Tiger 900, thanks to the introduction of a new 888cc engine. This engine is rumoured to generate close to 100bhp from the current 94bhp, making it as powerful as some of its Japanese and German rivals. In terms of features, expect the British brand to go a step further and equip it with better technologies.
We are expecting a global unveil of the Tiger 900 at the upcoming EICMA Show. India debut is likely to happen early next year. Just like the past, expect a decent jump in the pricing of this adventure motorcycle.
