- 2020 Continental GT spotted on test
- Get different exhaust
- Likely to be launched before Auto Expo
Just like every other two-wheeler manufacturer out there, Royal Enfield too is working on bringing in BS-VI ready motorcycles. In fact, one such prototype was spotted recently in Chennai.
An uncamouflaged variant of the Continental GT 650 was spotted. The prototype resembled the current model in terms of design. There are no design changes nor there are any cosmetic additions. The only change seen on this test mule is on the exhaust. The tip of the exhaust gets a pipe finish – something that’s missing on the current range of Royal Enfield 650cc motorcycles.
Royal Enfield is also working on the next generation Classic and Thunderbird range. In fact, we managed spot quite a few test mules over the last few weeks. These bikes are being developed on an all-new platform, and will be powered by new 350cc and 500cc engines.
We are expecting Royal Enfield to unveil some of its major bikes at the 2020 Auto Expo. But bikes like the 2020 Continental GT might make its India presence much earlier.
