Hero Electric has expanded its line-up of electric scooters by adding two more variants. The company has launched Optima ER (extended range) and Nyx ER at Rs 68,721 and Rs 69,754 (ex-showroom PAN India) respectively.
These two electric vehicles were launched after the company received a lot of feedback from customers about the riding range, which resulted into various range anxiety issues. The Optima ER has a range of 110kms in a single charge, whereas the Nyx ER has an overall range of 100kms. These have been achieved by equipping these scooters with dual batteries. Both the e-scooters have a maximum speed of 42kmph, and takes about five hours to fully charge. These scooters get its power from a 550W/1200W hub motor.
The company claims that these e-scooters are perfect for medium to heavy customers. That means, riders who have a daily commute of around 70kms and more. The Optima ER is mainly targeted towards family, office goers and college students, whereas the Nyx ER will be used for commercial establishments like e-commerce, delivery-based businesses and also e-bike sharing startups.
