Triumph Daytona Moto2 765 officially unveiled

- Unveiled at the British MotoGP, dubbed as the most powerful iteration of the Daytona till date

- Powered by the same 765cc motor used in Moto2 championship bikes

- Production limited to only 765 units

Triumph has officially unveiled the much anticipated all-new Daytona Moto2 765 at the British MotoGP at Silverstone. It is the most powerful iteration of the middle-weight SuperSport in the Daytona’s pedigree. It is also the first road-going model from Triumph to feature branding along with an official licence from MotoGP rights holder, Dorna.

In terms of design, while the Daytona Moto2 765 follows the same silhouette as the previous generation Daytona, it sports an updated full fairing with tweaks to the tail section. The major updates chiefly centre around electronics and mechanical components. The bike is equipped with the latest generation TFT instrument console and features five riding modes- Rain, Road, Rider Configurable, Sport and Track. The exhaust system on the bike is a Moto2-inspired light-weight Arrow titanium canister.

The main highlight of the motorcycle is undoubtedly the Moto2 765cc inline-triple that punches out 128bhp at 12,500rpm and peak torque of 80Nm at 9,750rpm. The race-bred motor features an advanced ECU lifted from the Street Triple RS with tweaks for higher torque output. The engine gets race-spec titanium inlet valves, stronger pistons and new cam profiles to name a few.

The motorcycle rides on lightweight five-spoke 17-inch cast aluminium rims suspended by 43mm Ohlins NIX30 forks up front and a TTX36 shock at the rear. Braking is done by Brembo Stylema brakes setup with a radial master cylinder.

Triumph has limited the production of the Daytona Moto2 765 to only 765 units worldwide making it an exclusive motorcycle to own. Each bike is numbered and comes with Union Jack style livery with official Moto2 branding. Its unique paint scheme includes Carbon Black, Graphite Grey and Aluminium Silver. In addition to that, it gets a unique distinctive exposed carbon fibre effect along with aluminium silver tank decals.

The Triumph Daytona Moto2 765 is expected to be showcased at the upcoming 2019 EICMA show in Milan and it will reach the markets by early 2020.
