-Gets two new colour options
-No mechanical changes
-To be sold in the USA and India
The rumours around the 2020 Suzuki Hayabusa have been incessantly running since last year suggesting that the sports tourer would come with a bigger turbocharged engine, more aggressive design and be an all-out Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R killer.
Now, Suzuki has taken the wraps off the 2020 ‘Busa and it is the complete opposite of what we expected. It continues with its iconic design and comes powered by the same 1340cc, inline-four-cylinder motor that churns out 197bhp at 9500rpm and 155Nm of torque at 7200rpm. The 2020 Hayabusa also comes equipped with Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (S-DMS), similar to the previous model, which allows the rider to select between three engine maps for different riding conditions.
However, what is new for the 2020 Suzuki Hayabusa are two new colour schemes- ‘Candy Daring Red’ and ‘Metallic Thunder Gray’. Both paints also get colour matched alloy wheels. Since the Hayabusa was discontinued in Europe this year, the 2020 Hayabusa will be sold in the USA and is likely to come to India by the end of this year or early 2020. So what about the turbocharger and bigger engine Hayabusa you ask? Well, we can expect that to be unveiled as a concept this year at the EICMA in Italy as a 2021 model.
