- Bajaj Dominar 400 now priced at Rs 1,90 lakh ex-showroom
- Second price hike since its launch
- Prices of other Bajaj models also hiked
If you were planning to buy the new-generation Bajaj Dominar 400, be ready to shell out more as the manufacturer has hiked the prices of the power cruiser by a big margin. To be precise, it is a substantial hike of Rs 10,000 over the existing price tag of Rs, 1.80 lakh. This is the second hike the motorcycle has received since it was launched in April. Bajaj had launched the new Dominar 400 at an introductory price of Rs 1.74 lakh which later received a price hike of Rs 6,000 in July, taking the retail price up to Rs 1.80 lakh. (All prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi)
The price hike is not limited to only the Dominar 400 in Bajaj’s product portfolio, but all other models as well, including the Pulsar and Avenger series. The hike can be attributed to the rationalisation of prices by the manufacturer. Besides the price hike, the Dominar 400 does not receive any changes.
The 2019 Dominar 400 is powered by the same 373.3cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor with DOHC that now produces 39.4bhp at 8650rpm and 35Nm at 7500rpm. For cycle parts, the power cruiser is suspended by inverted forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is done by a 320mm single disc with a radial caliper at the front and a 230mm disc with a single-pot caliper at the rear. It gets dual-channel ABS as standard.
Bajaj offers the 2019 Dominar 400 in two colour options - Aurora Green and Vine Black. Competition wise, the power cruiser locks horns with the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the KTM 390 Duke.
