2020 Benelli TNT600 new design patent leaked

- 2020 Benelli TNT600 was spied in China in July

- Benelli had filed a patent for a different design in the same month

- Will continue to be powered by the 600cc, in-line four cylinder engine

Benelli is prepping to introduce the 2020 version of its middle-weight naked streetbike, the TNT600. In July this year, we came across two different designs for the next-generation TNT600, including the one which was spied in China and another in patent images. Now, to our surprise, the former has appeared in the latest design patents.

As compared to the existing model of the bike, the new design looks much sharper and minimalistic. It sports a radical-looking compact LED headlamp flanked by puny turn indicators. The muscular fuel tank gets profoundly sharp extensions which stretch up to the front forks while the slender tail section completes the look. It’s worth noting that the design patent we witnessed in July comprised of a different looking motorcycle. It featured a narrow split-type headlamp with slightly different tank extensions and tail section. Also, it had a sportier split seat, as opposed to the single-piece unit on this motorcycle. 

Despite the new design, both the newly-styled motorcycles remain unchanged in terms of mechanicals. Powering the next-gen TNT600 will be the same 600cc, in-line four cylinder motor. However, it will be a revised version of the engine to comply with the upcoming emission norms. Besides that, the cycle parts will remain the same comprising of chunky upside down forks up front and monoshock at the rear. The braking hardware includes twin discs at the front and a single disc at the rear.

As we had reported earlier, Benelli seems to be studying different designs for the next-generation TNT600. After the new patent emerging, it still remains uncertain which design the company will go ahead with. We will know that in November when Benelli is likely to unveil the 2020 TNT600 at the EICMA.
