- Suzuki reveals new V-Strom 1000 in third teaser

Suzuki has released a new teaser video giving us the first look of the next-generation V-Strom 1000. The Japanese bike maker had given us minor glimpses of the motorcycle in the previous teaser while the new video clearly reveals the styling of the upcoming ADV.
In terms of styling, the new model is a major departure over the existing V-Strom. It draws inspiration from Suzuki’s iconic DR Big adventure motorcycle which is depicted by a red and white paint scheme. The oval-shaped headlamp has been dropped in the favour of a square and more compact unit. It is reminiscent of the headlamp featured on Suzuki’s naked bike, the Katana. This is topped by a restyled windscreen design along with new knuckle guards. The overall design has become more minimalistic and so has the beak-like front fairing which is sharper and angular now.
Besides the styling, Suzuki has also given us a peek into the new rectangular-shaped, fully-digital instrument cluster which will replace the semi-digital console of the existing model. Going by the current trend, we expect it to be Bluetooth-compatible. As for the engine, while there aren’t much details in this regard, the motor will surely be Euro 5 compliant and the tweaked exhaust canister clearly indicates that. In its existing form, this 1037cc, V-twin mill churns out 99bhp and 103Nm. To achieve cleaner emissions, whether these figures see a rise or drop remains to be seen.
The new Suzuki V-Strom 1000 will be officially unveiled at the 2019 EICMA show on 5 November. The motorcycle will also come to India after its launch in the international markets.
