- 25,000 units of the BS6 Honda Activa 125 sold
- Entire portfolio to be updated before March 2020
- Some models to be discontinued
Honda launched its first BS6-compliant scooter, the new Activa 125 in India back in September. The manufacturer has now announced that it has sold 25,000 units of the scooter in a span of two months.
The BS6 Activa 125 not only gets a retuned engine to comply with the emission norms, it also sports a refreshed look and comes with first-in-class technology. The scooter is available in three versions with prices starting from Rs 67,000 and going up to Rs 74,000 (both ex-showroom) for the DLX variant.
On the other hand, Honda has also revealed that it will be updating its entire portfolio before March 2020 and not wait until the BS6 mandate kicks in. However, the company is also expected to discontinue a few models as they aren’t garnering as many sales as expected. Going by this statement, we expect either the Cliq, Navi or the Activa-i to be taken off the shelves by next year.
