KTM 390 Adventure India Image Gallery

KTM went big at the 2019 India Bike Week as it unveiled its highly-anticipated offering, the 390 Adventure, at the event. While the motorcycle was on display for the viewers to gawk at it, we got enough time to spend with it and capture the bike through our lenses. Now, let’s take close at the 390 Adventure in this image gallery from IBW.

The overall styling of the 390 Adventure is heavily inspired by its elder sibling, the 790 Adventure, which was also showcased at the IBW in Goa.

Starting up front, the motorcycles sports a split LED headlamp which is identical to the 390 Duke. However, this is surrounded by a larger bikini fairing along with a tall windscreen on top. 

For displaying information, the motorcycle comes equipped with a 5.5-inch full-colour TFT instrument cluster borrowed from its naked sibling. This unit can be connected to smartphone via Bluetooth while showing a host of information. 

It incorporates a 14.5-litre fuel tank which has been bulked up by 1 litre as compared to the 390 Duke in order to deliver a longer range for touring.

Adding to its touring credentials is a split seat which is roomier than the 390 Duke. The seat height of the motorcycle is set at 855mm. 

The motorcycle also come equipped with longer and wider grab rails. This will not only make it easier for the pillion to hold on to them but will also provide extra support for mounting luggage.

Sitting under these grab rails is a petite LED tail lamp which is flanked by LED turn indicators.

Powering the 390 ADV is a 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor which churns out 42.3bhp and 37Nm. This unit comes mated to a six-speed gearbox along with an up and down quickshifter which is a segment-first feature. 

The 390 ADV rides on a larger 19-inch and 17-inch rear wheels which are shod with dual-purpose tyres. These wheels are suspended by inverted forks and monoshock sourced from WP.

Braking is taken care of by a 320mm disc with radial caliper at the front and a 230mm disc with floating caliper at the rear. This set up is assisted by switchable dual-channel ABS.

KTM will launch the 390 Adventure by January 2020 in India and is expected to price it around Rs 3.2-3.5 lakhs (ex-showroom).
