Yamaha introduced the BS6-compliant YZF-R15 V3 in India recently and updated the motorcycle’s colour palette.
It is available in three colour schemes- Darknight, Thunder Grey and Racing Blue. The Darknight paint scheme is a matte black theme with white graphics on the side fairing. The Thunder Grey paint features matte grey and black along with red decals on the fairing. Meanwhile, the Racing Blue colour has been inspired from the YZF-R1. It sports grey graphics and comes with colour matched wheels. While the Darknight paint costs Rs 1.47 lakhs, the other two colour schemes are priced at Rs 1.45 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Apart from the new paint schemes, the motorcycle also gets a radial tyre at the rear, dual horn and an side-stand indicator with engine inhibitor that prevents the engine from cranking up if the stand is down. The R15 V3 comes powered by the same 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine as the previous model. However, the BS6 R15 V3 produces lesser power and torque- 18.3bhp and 14.1Nm.
Bookings for the BS6 R15 V3 have already begun across showrooms in India with deliveries to take place in the coming weeks.
