- New Royal Enfield Classic spotted with variety of accessories
- Gets revised styling and host of mechanical upgrades
- Likely to be launched as a new variant soon
Royal Enfield has been spied testing what looks like the next-gen Classic a couple of times before. However, now the upcoming motorcycle has been seen with completely new accessories.
The test mule featured a large windscreen and alloy wheels that look entirely different from the ones Royal Enfield offers on the BS6 Classic 350. This next-gen Classic also gets subtle styling tweaks like a redesigned tail lamp and side panels. Furthermore, it sports updated switchgear, a semi-digital instrument cluster and new handlebar grips.
Royal Enfield has also revised the cushioning on the seats and has replace the gas-charged shocks at the rear with conventional springs. Moreover, the disc brake setup has now been shifted to the right side. Now the important update comes in the form of the new engine which is housed in the new double cradle frame.
The manufacturer recently discontinued the 500 range in India leaving a gap between the 350 and 650 range. We expect the next-gen Classic to come with a completely new motor and be positioned between the two models. It is likely to be launched later this year or by early 2021 and be priced around Rs 2.2 lakhs to Rs 2.3 lakhs.
