- Bajaj Pulsar 200NS BS6 to be launched in India soon
- Select dealers accepting bookings for Rs 5,000
- Likely to remain the same expect for BS6 compliant engine
Bajaj is likely to launch the Pulsar 200NS BS6 in India in the next couple of weeks as a few dealerships across the country have started accepting bookings for a token amount of Rs 5,000.
According to dealers, the new Pulsar 200NS is likely to be priced at a premium of around Rs 10,000-Rs 12,000 over the current version which costs Rs 1.14 lakhs (ex-showroom). However, for the increase in price, the Pulsar 200NS could only get a BS6-compliant version of the 199cc, single-cylinder engine. This fuel-injected motor is likely to produce slightly higher power than the BS4 model which puts out 23.2bhp and 18.3Nm. On the other hand, it is expected to continue with the same aggressive streetfighter styling and come equipped with the same braking and suspension hardware.
In terms of competition, it will go against the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and the Yamaha FZ25 in the country.
