- TVS reveals prices of the BS6 Jupiter standard and ZX variants
- Receive a hike of up to Rs 3,459 over their respective BS4 trims
- Power figures have not been revealed yet
After launching the BS6 model of the Jupiter Classic in November 2019, TVS has now officially revealed the prices of the BS6-compliant version of its standard and ZX variants. The Jupiter standard and ZX BS6 are priced at Rs 61,499 and Rs 63,499, respectively. While the former is now Rs 2,102 more expensive, the latter demands a premium of Rs 3,459 over its BS4 counterpart.
As opposed to the carbureted fueling system in the BS4 engine, the new BS6-compliant 109.7cc powerplant features fuel-injection. Power figures of the updated engine have not been revealed yet but we expect them to be similar to that of its BS4 derivative - 7.8bhp and 8Nm. During the launch of the BS6 Classic edition, TVS had stated that the new FI motor is smoother in terms of power delivery and it is more fuel efficient as well.
The standard and ZX variants of the BS6 Jupiter remain unchanged in terms of styling. Looking at the minimal premium the new models demand, they are unlikely to get substantial updates in terms of features. For instance, the Classic edition of the BS6 Jupiter has only received a USB charger in the front storage compartment along with a tinted visor. On the hardware front, it continues to ride on 12-inch wheels with telescopic and monoshock suspension and drum brakes at both ends.
The TVS Jupiter BS6 competes against the Honda Activa 6G, Hero Maestro Edge 110 and the Hero Pleasure Plus 110.
