Hero MotoCorp has announced the launch of the Hero Connect system at Rs 4,999 (introductory, inclusive of taxes). The new Hero Connect is a cloud-based solution that promises to deliver smart riding experience to the riders.
The new system is designed to offer features such as speed alert, topple and tow away alert, live tracking function and geo-fencing. The system also stores ride records and provides detailed logs. Hero Connect uses telematics hardware that works with a built-in SIM to connect the smartphone application and the device. All the data is stored on cloud storage. An emergency message is sent to the user and the contacts in case of toppling or an accident.
Malo Le Masson, Head of Global Product Planning, Hero MotoCorp, said that the company aims to enhance the riding experience of its customers. The function will be available across segments, although it is currently only available on Hero XPulse, Pleasure+, Passion XPro and HF Deluxe.
The Hero Connect system is available in limited numbers; and in select cities – Pune, Noida and Delhi – with a one-year subscription. The system will be rolled out in other cities in a phased manner.
