- 2020 Hero Passion Pro BS6 launched
- Comes in two variants with prices starting at Rs 64,990
- Gets FI engine, new styling, updated features and tweaked hardware
Hero MotoCorp has launched the new 2020 model of its commuter motorcycle, the Passion Pro, in India. The motorcycle comes in two variants including drum and front disc which are priced at Rs 64,990 and Rs 67,190, respectively (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The motorcycle has received a new styling which makes it look sportier than the previous model. It sports a redesigned headlamp and bikini fairing, more muscular fuel tank with angular extensions, sleeker tail section and tail lamp. Hero has also updated the instrumentation of the new Passion Pro with a semi-digital cluster which now shows real time mileage, alongside the basic information.
The carbureted motor of the Passion Pro had been replaced by a 110cc, fuel-injected motor which produces 9.02bhp at 7,500rpm and 9.79Nm at 5,500rpm. This is a mild drop in power but slight hike in torque over the outgoing carb model. Moreover, for easier riding through traffic, the commuter now gets an Auto Sail feature as well.
What's more, the company also claims an increase of five per cent in its fuel efficiency. In order to make it more capable in handling rough roads, Hero also went on to increase the front suspension travel and ground clearance, both by 15mm.
The new Hero Passion Pro has been launched in four colour options including black, yellow, red and grey.
