Hero Motocorp has unveiled the new Xtreme 160R in India. The motorcycle will be launched by the end of March as a replacement to the Xtreme Sports which was discontinued in the country recently.
The Xtreme 160R sports sharp styling that incorporates a beefy fuel tank into an upswept and sporty-looking tail section. It also offers full-LED lighting for the headlamp, turn signals and tail lamp. Additionally, the Xtreme 160R also comes equipped with full-digital display and is available in two variants that differ with braking hardware. Meanwhile, the motorcycle rides on 37mm telescopic forks upfront sourced from Showa and a monoshock at the rear.
Powering the Xtreme 160R is a 160cc, air-cooled engine that produces 15bhp at 8,500rpm and 14Nm at 6,500rpm. Hero is offering the motorcycle in three colour options- red, white and blue. Bookings for the Xtreme 160R will commence in the next few weeks and deliveries are expected to take place in the first week of April 2020. When launched, the motorcycle will take on the Suzuki Gixxer, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and the Yamaha FZ V3 in India.
