- Bajaj Dominar 400 BS6 booking amount stands at Rs 5,000
- The bikes have started to reach select dealerships
- BS6 model is Rs 1,750 expensive than the BS4 motorcycle
Select Bajaj dealerships have commenced the bookings for the Dominar 400 BS6 ahead of the motorcycle’s imminent launch. Interested buyers can book the flagship Bajaj motorcycle for a token amount of Rs 5,000. The latest iteration of the motorcycle, as reported previously, will be priced at Rs 1,91,751 (ex-showroom, Pune), which is about Rs 1,750 more expensive than the BS4 model.
The Dominar 400 received a major upgrade in March last year when the company introduced features such as DOHC configuration to the engine, split-style instrument cluster with DOT matrix display and inverted telescopic front forks.
The company is yet to reveal the launch details or the mechanical specifications for the BS6 motorcycle. However, we do not expect to see a major difference in the power and torque output figures than the BS4 model. The BS4 motorcycle, for reference, was tuned to produce 39.4bhp at 8,650rpm and 35Nm at 7,500rpm from its 373.3cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC motor. The engine is paired to a six-speed transmission that benefits from a slipper clutch function.
The Bajaj Dominar 400 BS6 has started to arrive at several dealerships, and it should not be long before Bajaj Auto announces the launch. The deliveries should start soon after the launch announcement.
In other updates, Bajaj Auto seems to be working on a budget variant of the Dominar. A test mule of the motorcycle with skinnier tyres and a budget-friendly swingarm was spotted near Pune, Maharashtra.
