- Overall year-on-year sales (domestic & export) saw one per cent growth
- Exports witnessed an eight per cent decline

Royal Enfield has announced its year-on-year sales numbers for the month of February. In the domestic market, the company sold 61,188 units last month as against 60,066 units in the corresponding month last year. The exports, on the other hand, saw a marginal fall in numbers. Royal Enfield exported 2,348 units in February this year as against 2,564 in the corresponding month last year. The overall year-on-year growth stood at one per cent.
The year-to-date numbers, however, tell a different story. The domestic sales saw a 16 per cent decline, and the company sold 6,24,020 units between April 2019 and February 2020. In comparison, the corresponding period last year saw domestic sales of 7,46,839 units. The exports witnessed 95 per cent growth, and the company sold 36,004 units between April 2019 and February 2020 as against 18,428 units in the corresponding period last year. The overall year-to-date sales saw a 14 per cent decline.
The company also expanded its reach in the domestic and international markets. During the last quarter (Q3 FY2019-20), Royal Enfield added seven new large-format stores and 250 new Studio Format stores in India. Internationally, Royal Enfield added new stores across Thailand, Brazil, Argentina, France and the UK.
