The Bajaj Avenger Street 160 BS6 has started to reach select dealerships ahead of its launch. Dealer sources have shared the images of the updated motorcycle. The latest iteration of the Bajaj Avenger 160 Street looks familiar to the BS4 motorcycle. Thus, the cruiser-style bike continues to feature a halogen headlight with a LED DRL and a fly-screen at the front.
The cockpit of the motorcycle continues to use a semi-digital instrument cluster. The speedometer and the fuel gauge are analogue units while the odometer and two trip meters are visible on the digital display. Cycle parts like the suspension setup and the braking hardware are identical to the BS4 motorcycle. Thus, shock absorption tasks are handled by conventional telescopic forks at the front and a twin-sided spring at the back. Anchoring hardware comprises a disc brake at the front and a drum at the rear. The safety net includes a single-channel ABS and a rear liftoff protection (RLP) system.
Mechanical specifications of the BS6 motorcycle are not available yet, although we do not expect to see a major difference in power and torque output numbers over the BS4 model. The old version, for reference, was tuned to produce 14.8bhp at 8,500rpm and 13.5Nm at 7,000rpm from its 160cc, single-cylinder, DTS-I engine.
The motorcycle, as reported earlier, will be priced at Rs 89,536 (ex-showroom Pune). The bookings are open at several Bajaj Auto dealerships across the country.
