- BS6 Pulsar 180 makes same power output as BS4 model
- BS6 Pulsar 220F suffers from a marginal power loss
- Unofficial bookings for yet-to-arrive Bajaj bikes already open
Leaked documents have revealed the engine specifications and dimensions of the upcoming, BS6 compliant Bajaj Pulsar 180 and Pulsar 220F. As seen in the documents, the latest iteration of the Pulsar 180 continues to deliver the same power output (17bhp) as the BS4 motorcycle. The Pulsar 220F, on the other hand, suffers a marginal drop in power, and the BS6 model makes 20.1bhp as against 20.6bhp on the BS4 bike.
Surprisingly, the “F” suffix on the Pulsar 180 is missing in the leaked documents. Moreover, the dimensions are relatively different from the Pulsar 180F that’s listed on Bajaj Auto’s website. Does this mean that Bajaj Auto plans to bring back the naked roadster variant of the Pulsar 180? While it seems unlikely, we would wait for an official announcement.
The company’s current BS6 portfolio that's currently comprises of the Pulsar 150, Dominar 250, CT100 and the Platina range. The rest of the models have started to arrive at the dealerships, and their unofficial bookings are already open. Bajaj Auto, however, is yet to announce their launch and prices. With the deadline to comply with the BS6 emission norms nearby (31 March 2020), we expect to hear a launch announcement from Bajaj Auto very soon.
