Ducati extends shutdown of production till 25 March

- Development of new products and market support will continue

- Suspension of production was announced on 13 March

- Organising itself to be ready for the restart

Italian motorcycle manufacturer, Ducati has announced that the company will extend the shutdown of its production lines till 25 March 2020. While the production has been temporarily halted, all activities related to the development of new products and market support will continue.

The temporary suspension of production at the company’s factory in Bologna, Italy is due to the health emergency in the country. The measures aim to limit the probability of the COVID-19 at the plant in Borgo Panigale. The company had announced the suspension of production from Friday 13 March to Wednesday 18 March, which has now been extended to 25 March.

Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati Motor Holding said that all the support services for the customers are guaranteed, first and foremost the supply of spare parts. Domenicali further added that the company is organising itself to be ready for the restart and, even in this period of downtime it will not fail to provide support.

Among various products that are undergoing pre-production test runs is the new Multistrada V4. The upcoming sports/adventure tourer from the Italian brand, which is scheduled to arrive in 2021, was recently seen through clearest spy images yet.
