Harley-Davidson India has announced that the BS6-compliant Street 750 and Street Rod will be available at special prices for the armed forces personnel across the country. The two motorcycles, which will be on sale for the armed forces, ex-servicemen and their dependents in India, will be available through Canteen Store Departments (CSD).
The Street 750 and Street Rod BS6 are available from Rs 5,34,000 and Rs 6,55,000 respectively for the general public. In comparison, the Indian Armed Force personnel can purchase the motorcycles for Rs 4,60,332 and Rs 5,65,606 respectively from the CSD.
Both, the Street 750 and the Street Rod use a 749cc, Liquid-cooled, Revolution X V-Twin engine that is tuned to produce 60Nm of peak torque at 3,750rpm. The Street Rod gets premium hardware such as upside-down front forks and gas-charged rear suspension.
Speaking about the special offer for the Indian Armed Force personnel, Sajeev Rajasekharan, Managing Director – Asia Emerging Markets and India, Harley-Davidson, said, that the company is looking forward to providing more access to members of the armed forces and seeing more members of the forces fulfill their desire to own a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
