Besides launching the Interceptor 650 BS6 in India, Royal Enfield has launched the updated version of its cafe-racer sibling, the Continental GT 650 BS6. With this update, the prices of all variants of the bike have also increased marginally.
Mentioned below are the colour-wise prices of the Continental GT 650 BS6:
Black Magic, Ventura Blue: Rs 2,80,677
Dr Mayhem, Ice Queen White: Rs 2,88,564
Mister Clean (chrome): Rs 3,01,707
(All prices are-ex-showroom, Delhi)
The prices of these paint schemes of the Continental GT 650 have gone up by around Rs 9,000 over their BS4 counterparts which, as per the brand, have been sold out from all dealerships across India. The Chennai-based bike maker has managed to execute the BS6 transition smoothly a few days before the 1 April deadline. While bookings for the BS6 Continental GT have begun, it has also started arriving at dealerships and deliveries have commenced in batches.
The 648cc, parallel-twin, air-cooled motor of the Continental GT has received BS6-bound alterations. This has resulted in a negligible drop in its power output while the torque figure has remained unchanged. The café-racer now churns out 46.8bhp at 7,150rpm and 52Nm at 5,250rpm. The engine comes mated to a six-speed. Notably, the motorcycle remains unchanged in all other aspects.
Considering the pricing, the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 BS6 competes against the KTM 390 Adventure, BMW G 310 R, Benelli TNT 300 and Benelli 302R.
