The Bajaj Pulsar 220F BS6 has been launched in India priced at Rs 1.17 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It costs a premium of Rs 8,960 over the BS4 model.
In terms of design and styling, the Pulsar 220F remains the same and sports the distinctive semi-fairing that integrates an LED projector headlamp. However, the motorcycle’s 220cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine is now BS6 compliant. The updated motor puts out 20.1bhp; a drop of 0.5bhp as compared to the BS4 engine. Torque figures, on the other hand, are the same at 18.5Nm. Bajaj has also equipped the Pulsar 220F BS6 also gets a bigger 280mm front disc (260mm on BS4 model).
Besides these changes, the motorcycle retains the suspension, wheels and other cycle parts from the BS4 model. It is available in a choice of two dual-tone colours- black/blue and black/red. Bookings for the Pulsar 220F had already commenced a few weeks ago with deliveries expected to take place once India gets out of lockdown.
