Bajaj Auto has announced that it will be extending the warranty on the original equipment and free service period. The company announced that the extension will be applicable on to the vehicles whose warranty and free service period will expire between 20 March 2020 and 30 April 2020 and it will extended until 31 May 2020.
The measures were announced to ensure that the customers do not lose the benefits during the 21-day lockdown in the country due to Coronavirus Pandemic. The government had announced a 21-day lockdown in the country that is scheduled to end on 14 April 2020.
Apart from extending the warranty and the free service period, Bajaj Group has donated Rs 100 crore towards the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic. The company is working with its 200+ NGO partners for supplying resources. Bajaj Group is also helping the government and private hospitals in Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad and rural areas of Pune. The company is lending support in upgrading ICUs, procuring equipment and setting up isolation units.
