- Bajaj Dominar 400 BS6 no available in India
- No change in power
- Is 3kg heavier than BS4 model
Bajaj has launched the Dominar 400 BS6 in India at Rs 1,91,751 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It costs a premium of Rs 1,749 over the BS4 model.
The Dominar 400 remains the same cosmetically, sporting an aggressive full-LED headlamp, muscular fuel tank and a distinctive split tail lamp setup. However, its 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled and fuel-injected motor has been tweaked to comply with BS6 norms. While there is no loss of power and the engine continues to produce 39.4bhp and 35Nm, the Dominar 400 BS6 is 3kg heavier. It now tips the scales at 187kg.
Apart from these changes, the Bajaj Dominar 400 BS6 is unchanged. It retains the same suspension and braking hardware from the previous model. In terms of pricing, the Dominar 400 takes on the Royal Enfield Himalayan, KTM 250 Duke and the Suzuki Gixxer 250.
