- TVS Jupiter Grande taken off the official website
- Launch of the BS6 model not confirmed yet
- Only 110cc scooter with Bluetooth-enabled display
TVS Motor Company has removed the Jupiter Grande edition from its official website. Now, the company has only three variants of the Jupiter BS6 listed online, including the standard, ZX and Classic trims. After discontinuing the BS4 model of the Grande version, whether the company will introduce it in BS6 guise remains unclear at the moment.
The Grande was the top-end version of the Jupiter BS4 which was launched in October 2018 as a limited edition model. After being on sale for a few months, it was taken off the shelves in June 2019. However, the Jupiter Grande had made a comeback in September 2019. This time it was introduced with a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster which can be paired with a smartphone. Till date, it has been the only 110cc scooter to get Bluetooth connectivity.
Sporting the same overall styling as other variants of the Jupiter, the Grande edition had a few cosmetic add-ons and additional features which made it more premium. It incorporated a cross-stitched pattern seat, beige coloured panels around the footboard, machine-cut alloy wheels, chrome-finished cover on the mirrors and 3D logo. It also had an LED headlamp. Besides these changes, the Jupiter Grande edition was identical to other variants of the scooter in terms of hardware and engine.
The TVS Jupiter Grande BS4 was priced at Rs 62,346 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Now, it remains to be seen if the Hosur-based bike maker brings back this variant in BS6 avatar or pulls the plug on it permanently. Notably, the BS6-compliant models of other variants of the Jupiter - standard, ZX and Classic have already been launched.
