Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has revised the prices of the BS6 SP 125. The motorcycle has received a nominal price increase of Rs 552 across the variants.
Thus, the base version (drum brake) of the SP 125 is now available at Rs 73,452 as against Rs 72,900 previously. The premium version (disc brake) is priced at Rs 77,652 as against Rs 77,100. In comparison, its direct rival, the BS6 Pulsar 125 Neon is priced at Rs 69,997 (drum) and Rs 74,118 (disc).
The Honda SP 125 features a modern design that aims to attract young buyers. The design is complemented by an LED headlamp, edgy graphics, high/low beam control with integrated pass switch and split-style alloy wheels.
The feature list on the SP 125 comprises a fully-digital instrument cluster that, apart from the standard ride-related data, displays information such as Eco indicator, real-time fuel efficiency, gear position indicator and service reminder.
Mechanical specifications include a 125cc, single-cylinder engine with PGM-FI (programmed fuel injection) system and Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology. Linked to a five-speed gearbox, the motor is tuned to produce 10.5bhp of maximum power and 10.3Nm of peak torque. The SP 125 also gets an engine kill switch and an ACG starter. Anchoring power comes from drum brakes on both wheels while the premium version benefits from a front disc. The safety net comprises of CBS.
