New BMW G310 GS spotted testing; to be launched in India soon

BMW has been spotted testing the new G310 GS on international roads.

The updated G310 GS retains the design silhouette of the current model although with minor tweaks to its bodywork that sets it apart. The tank shrouds are sharper and the cladding that incorporates the faux intakes is more defined. 

Nevertheless, the new full-LED headlamp flanked by LED turn signals is the most distinguishable element in the new G310 GS’ design. The unit gets a smoked casing which also gives the impression that the updated motorcycle gets a sleeker ‘beak’. While the spy images only revealed the front end, we can expect a slightly redesigned tail section as well.

Apart from this, the new BMW G310 GS will also receive a revised version of the 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine borrowed from the TVS Apache RR 310. The BS6-compliant motor on the Apache continues with the same output as its BS4 counterpart. Hence, the new G310 GS is also likely to offer the same 33bhp of power and 28Nm of torque as the outgoing model.

We can also expect BMW to equip the G310 GS with a revised instrument cluster, to say the least. The manufacturer was also spotted testing the new G310 R alongside the G310 GS. It is likely to launch the two motorcycles in India in the next few months, just in time for the country’s festive season.
