- Honda dealerships and workshops in orange and green zones reopen
- Dealership Operations Resumption Manual circulated for ensuring safety
The announcement of lockdown 3.0 from 4 May 2020 brought along several relaxations to the lockdown restrictions in India. According to the new guidelines, two-wheelers dealerships are allowed to resume operations, depending on the zone they fall in. Following the declaration of these relaxations, Honda 2Wheelers India has announced that its dealerships and workshops located in orange and green zones have started to reopen from 4 May 2020.
To make sure that its dealer and workshop partners are adhering to the health and safety protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19 virus, Honda has circulated a comprehensive Dealership Operations Resumption Manual. Besides maintaining sufficient distance between each other and from the customers, the store employees will also ensure that they use appropriate safety equipment and sanitizers.
Owing to the nationwide lockdown during the entire last month, Honda, similar to other two-wheeler manufacturers, couldn’t sell even a single unit of its products in India. However, the Japanese bike maker exported 2,630 units from its March 2020 stock to the international markets.
