Suzuki has launched the GSX-R125 in Japan. It is the smallest fully-faired motorcycle in the Japanese bikemaker’s portfolio.
The GSX-R125 sports an aggressive styling borrowed from its bigger sibling, the GSX-R150 which is sold in international markets. So, it features a sleek full-LED headlamp, muscular tank, and an upswept tail section with split-seats. Powering the GSX-R125 is a 124cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that produces 14.8bhp at 10,000rpm and 11Nm at 8000rpm. It has a kerb weight of 134kg.
In terms of features, the GSX-R125 gets a digital instrument cluster that displays speed, odometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, clock as well as a gear position indicator. The motorcycle also boasts of a dual-channel ABS. Interestingly, Suzuki is also offering the Indian-spec Gixxer 250, Gixxer SF250, and Gixxer 150 in Japan alongside the naked GSX-R125. And while the motorcycle will be a worthy competition to the KTM RC 125, it is unlikely to be launched in India anytime soon.
