- Hero HF Deluxe BS6 kick-start variant launched
- Available with alloy wheels and spoke wheels
- Around Rs 9,000 cheaper than the standard self-start trim
After launching the HF Deluxe BS6 self-start variants in December last year, Hero MotoCorp has now introduced the kick start models of the commuter offering. It is available in options of spoke wheels and alloy wheels which are priced at Rs 46,800 and Rs 47,800, respectively. As for the self-start models, they are available in standard and i3S trims which cost Rs 56,675 and Rs 58,000, respectively (All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Hero HF Deluxe BS6 is powered by a 97.2cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine which produces 7.94bhp at 8,000rpm and 8.05Nm at 6,000rpm. As compared to the previous carbureted motor, the revised FI unit is claimed to deliver 9 per cent more mileage and 6 per cent faster acceleration. The top-end i3S version aids in saving more fuel during brief stops as it automatically turns the engine Off when left idling for a few seconds. On engaging the clutch and rolling the throttle slightly, the engine comes back to life.
The Hero HF Deluxe has remained unchanged in terms of cycle parts. It is built around a tubular double-cradle frame which is suspended by telescopic forks and dual shock absorbers. Stopping power comes from drum brakes at both ends with combined braking system. While the styling has also remained unaltered, Hero has adorned the motorcycle with new graphics and rolled out two new paint schemes – Techno Blue and Heavy Grey with Green.
