- Benelli TRK 800 global unveil likely by October
- To be powered by a 754cc parallel-twin engine
- Expected to be launched in India sometime in 2021
Benelli is likely to unveil the TRK 800 adventure motorcycle sometime between September and October this year, a leaked image about the company’s upcoming portfolio revealed.
The TRK 800 is expected to be based on its Chinese counterpart, the QJMotor SRB750 that was recently spied. The adventure motorcycle sports an aggressively styled front end that is complete with a full-LED headlamp and tall windscreen. The spy image also reveals that the upcoming TRK 800 (QJ SRB750) will come with spoke wheels, a large engine guard, split-seat setup, and long-travel suspension.
The Benelli TRK 800 is expected to come powered by a 754cc, parallel-twin engine derived from the Leoncino 800 and 752S. This motor produces 80bhp and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. While the motorcycle in the spy image appears to be built around the same frame as the TRK 502 that is sold in India, Benelli says that it is working on improving the same. Moreover, the company is assertive that the production-spec TRK 800 will not be exactly like the QJ SRB750.
Nevertheless, Benelli is looking to take on the big guns in the adventure-motorcycle segment with the TRK 800. The motorcycle will go up against the likes of the Triumph Tiger 900, BMW F750 GS as well as the Ducati Multistrada 950.
