2020 Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro: What else can you buy?

Triumph Motorcycles recently launched the Tiger 900 in India at Rs 13.70 lakh for the Tiger 800 GT. However, the top-spec, off-road focused Rally Pro variant is priced at Rs 15.50 lakh. Here, we list out the motorcycles that are priced around the Tiger 900 Rally Pro.

Honda Africa Twin: Rs 15.35 lakh 

The Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro’s biggest rival is the Honda Africa Twin that is more affordable by Rs 15,000. The Africa Twin is also available in a higher-spec, DCT version which costs Rs 16.10 lakh. Sporting a styling derived from Dakar Rally motorcycles, the Africa Twin features a tall windscreen and a slim fuel tank and mid-section.

It also gets riding aids like six-axis IMU, cornering ABS, rear-lift control, Honda Selectable Torque Control, cruise control system, wheelie control as well as cornering detection on for the DCT. Moreover, the motorcycle also boasts of features like a 6.5-inch TFT screen with Apple Car Play, cornering lights, and heated grips. Powering the Africa Twin is a 1084cc, parallel-twin engine that produces 102bhp and 105Nm.

BMW F850 GS Adventure: Rs 15.40 lakh 

The F 850 GS is another competitor to the Tiger 900. And in its Adventure form, the motorcycle takes a step forward in providing a 23-litre fuel tank that is 8-litres larger than the standard F 850 GS. This has also resulted in a 15kg increase in kerb weight as compared to the motorcycle it is based on. 

Nevertheless, the BMW F 850 GS Adventure is equipped with ABS, ASC (Automatic Stability Control), traction control, and two riding modes. Moreover, it also comes with a 6.5-inch Bluetooth enabled, TFT display along with LED lighting for the headlamp, turn signals, and tail lamp. The motorcycle is powered by an 853cc, liquid-cooled parallel-twin motor that produces 95bhp and 92Nm.

BMW R 1250 R: Rs 15.95 lakh 

The BMW R 1250 R is the only streetfighter in this list that has a roadster-inspired appeal. The motorcycle is equipped with a 6.5-inch TFT display with functions like navigation and attending to calls. It also gets three ride modes- rain, road, and Pro which includes Hill Start Control Pro. Powering the BMW R 1250 R is a 1254cc boxer engine that produces 132bhp and 143Nm.
